9 Ways to Flourish ~ Even in this Mess

flourish prosperity thrive burst joy business full growth

A year ago we had challenges.
But we also laughed out loud at cookouts and hugged our friends, shopped and went to school and never once wondered if the air was safe to breathe.

Now people are dying, going to a job is risky, and businesses are failing.

It’s another world, isn’t it?

The thing is, this nightmare will end. It will turn around.

And when it does, there will be people who flourish, and people who falter. It happens every time there’s any kind of crash. Some pick up the pieces and build anew, and some stay crushed.

What differentiates the phoenix from the char?

I’m only in my 50’s, so I didn’t live through what happened after the last epidemic 100 years ago. But here’s what I know about surviving and thriving in the everyday trauma that is business.

1. If you are extremely adaptable, you will do better than those who live in the past.

2. Knowing and relying on your strengths gives you a head start. Be more you.

3. “I just want to make more money” doesn’t motivate anyone to support you, but being of service, knowing your Big Why, and clearly stating, “I want to solve X problem for Y people by offering Z” will.

4. Going it alone limits creativity. Plus, it’s lonely and not as much fun as dynamic collaboration.

5. Gratitude is the most attractive attitude.  Enthusiasm is next.  Give back generously. Mentor others, and bring them along as you grow.

6. There is zero excuse to not have a robust online presence. Those days are over. Embrace technology that helps you share ideas, understand more, and reach your customers.

7. Chronic fear is a killer. Kills dreams, kills creativity, kills possibility. Useful fear gets you out of the way of the bus, but chronic fear, worry, anxiety, is an unproductive loop that siphons off energy and drains away possibility.

8. You have to take care of yourself first, so you can usefully help others.

9. Laughter and friendship, support from colleagues, and a safe place to experiment with new ideas, all foster growth and create the perfect environment for success. For flourishing.

We can do all these things now, even in this mess, so we’re in the best possible position for tomorrow.

I invite you to our conversation about Prosperity (or Flourishing or Succeeding, or Thriving, or Storming, or Blooming, or Crushing).

Are you flourishing? succeeding? thriving?

Do you have enough free time, support, self-care, good work to do, health, and financial resources to have peace of mind on a daily basis?

Are you being the living example you want to be, for your children and friends?

My #3 from the above list?  It’s about you:
I want to help entrepreneurs (and potential entrepreneurs) earn a profitable, ethical online income by helping you choose your next step forward.

Ethical – Doing the Right Thing, Even When Nobody’s Watching

Ethical is doing the right thing, even when nobody's watching

An ethical person does the right thing, even when no one is looking.

What does that mean in practical terms?  Here are my 9 promises to you:

9. I won’t sell you stuff just to sell you stuff.  We start by creating a personalized Roadmap just for you, so we first find out what you want to accomplish, and then see what will help you get there.

8. I won’t take you on if I think you’re better off getting a solid job. If I can help you find one, I will. Some people truly are not meant to be entrepreneurs.

7. I will tell you the truth.  You may really want to sell on Amazon, but if I don’t think you’re a match for it, I’ll tell you that truthfully. You can do what you want with that information, of course. But I will always lay it out for you.

6. I’ll tell you that truth, even if it costs me.  Let’s imagine I have the perfect Amazon course, and I stand to make money when people buy it.  And I know of another program that costs less, or is even free, in the arena where I think you’re better matched. I’ll urge you to go with that venture, even though I will earn less, or nothing.

5. And even if you don’t like it.  Chances are, I won’t reflect anything back to you that’s a surprise. But if I do, and you don’t like it, I won’t lie to you about it. I’ll tell you the truth ~ even the hard truths.  No one who lies to you is your friend.

4. Sometimes I might send you away.  If I don’t have the best training or opportunity to help you, and one of my many (also ethical) collaborators has just the thing, I’ll give you their name, free and clear.

3. I honor my time, so I’ll honor yours.  I have two kids, two dogs, a spouse I love, a big garden, and an art studio. My time is precious to me. So I don’t waste it. And I won’t waste yours. I’m not gonna send you emails just to have something to send. Or suggest links or articles just to sound knowledgeable. If I send or recommend something to you, it’s because I think it’s valuable.

2. I will never sell you a back-alley deal.  Everything I offer as a solution to you is either a program I have studied myself, or an opportunity tested and vetted by someone I deeply trust.  Training, course, program, business-in-a-box ~ whatever I offer to you is trustworthy.

1. No magical thinking.  There are literally thousands of “courses” out there, all claiming to make you money while you sleep, turn you into a millionaire this year, and fulfill all your wildest dreams with no effort on your part at all. Hogwash. Online incomes require work. Very different work than when I was mopping floors, grunting out farmwork, or cranking food out in a diner, and with a bigger possible upside. The only thing worse than no job at all is a minimum wage job you think you can’t live without, because it steals your time, as well. Passionately I believe in the beauty of entrepreneurship, the drive to create more value for our customers and more income for ourselves. But it’s not magic. It’s work. I’ll never tell you otherwise.

Choosing to behave ethically is not always easy.

Sometimes it costs time, and money, and even friendships. But I can sleep at night. Make sure you can, too.

At Z Seekers we are committed to helping you earn a profitable, ethical online income, because I’m committed to doing that for myself.

Yours, Lisa

Why You Don’t Have an Online Income (Yet)

why you don't have an online income yet

Of course you don’t have an online business yet.

There are at least three really good reasons.

1. You‘re scared you’ll waste time & money trying things that won’t work, or that won’t work for you.

Well, of course you are! It’s really easy to spend loads of money on ideas, trainings, and directions that look good at first, but don’t pan out. Most everyone I know in this industry can point to tens (if not hundreds) of thousands of dollars “wasted” or “invested”, depending on your point of view.  That doesn’t mean you want to do the same!  Let’s find a way to save you all that unnecessary expense.

2. Of course you’re smart to avoid most of the “gurus” out there who just want your money.

Just because someone is rich and famous doesn’t mean they’re ethical or a good teacher!  A lot of people in the online marketing industry — I’m sad to have to say it — really are slimy, greedy, uncaring hucksters. And you’re right to be on the lookout for that in everyone who comes at you. I am only in this business right now because I am part of a group of highly ethical, customer-focused, trained professionals, and it is a privilege to work collaboratively with them, so that we can all help our people even better. Let’s bring you in to this powerful, amazing group.

3. And of course you’re intimidated by something you haven’t done before. And who wants to lose a bunch of money?

We all are. It’s human nature. If I were going to consider going into business fixing cars, I’d be intimidated to start, because it would be new to me. I might be perfectly capable, but I’d be taking a deep breath, because I’d know, okay, I’m gonna have to learn a lot, be really uncomfortable for a while, not know what I’m doing exactly, and take this risk. I know what that feels like, and it takes a lot of courage. I applaud you that you’re about to launch into it. So let’s make everything so supportive, that you are as safe and encouraged as you can possibly be.

Starting into the world of a digital side income can be so overwhelming and frightening that most people never do it. But if you’re reading this, it’s because you know it’s the direction you want to go. It’s the present, and the future.

So let me help you get started down a great path, one personalized to you based on your experience, skills, resources, and desires.
